We don't allow outside food or pets. Here's an interesting tidbit about bamboo that has nothing to do with strawberries: I took this picture of the edge of our bamboo forest yesterday morning. The bamboo shoots erupting out of the ground grew in just several days. They are called culms and come from underground stems called rhizomes that travel from existing bamboo. Saturday 4/26 Open 9am-6pm. Blueberry donuts are on the menu! All activities are open. Picking is excellent if you walk past the red white blue flag barrier, then pick a row and walk to the end of the row. The best picking is at the far end of the rows. The Ruby Junes in the last few rows need a few days to ripen. U-pick is $3.99 per lb. No more sale price.

We gave away over $14,000 of strawberries Friday, $22,000 in total this week. The plants chose to produce in hyperdrive right when bad weather kept customers away, so we had to give a little incentive to move some berries. We do appreciate the huge response from you. I believe Friday set the record for the most berries picked in a single day at Hall Family Farm! If you have a chance to come back and enjoy some of our ticketed activities and the delicious food at Hall's Kitchen and Bakery, that would be wonderful.

Check out the great artwork and cool wood crafts for sale in the Coffee Cottage made by Ashley of @rustic_rea Some of her pieces are crafted from cedar lumber from our farm. She and her father built and donated miniature cedar benches for the schoolchildren to sit on during our school tours.

Friday 4/25 Open 9am-6pm. We are drowning in ripe strawberries so u-pick is HALF PRICE ($2/lb) all day if you pick at least 2 full boxes (10 lbs). There is no limit on picking as we desperately need these berries cleared off the plants. It takes literally 3 minutes to fill a box full. The lower half of the entire 4-acre field is filled with ripe berries like the pic.

Hall's Kitchen and Bakery, the Coffee Cottage, and all activities will be open all day. The kitchen is debuting a very tasty new spicy chicken sandwich today. On the bakery side, blueberry and lemon donuts are back today or tomorrow.

Thursday 4/24 OPEN 9am-6pm. Strawberry picking is still phenomenal, especially in the most distant quarter of the field. I picked the 4 boxes in the picture Wednesday afternoon. It took me 10 minutes and 20 feet of row to pick. Our Tuesday and Wednesday picking discounts are now over; we gave away over $8,000 of berries. There are no school tours today, and all activities and food are available.
